Nearly 1 Million Raspberry Pi Units Sold

by Mark

The Raspberry Pi is best known as a circuit board computer with a $35 price tag. The product was the baby of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, which had hopes of delivering affordable computers into school systems that couldn’t otherwise afford them. The hacker community, however, has welcomed the small computer with open arms and has pushed sales higher than ever expected.

The company recently revealed that it has sold nearly 1 million units. That’s incredible for a computer with a $35 price tag that takes a bit of know-how to get going out of the box, especially since the foundation opened up sales less than a year ago in April.
